Notice is hereby given that eighteen firearms and $13,846.00 U.S. currency in the possession of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) are subject to condemnation and forfeiture. A civil action against the firearms and currency has been filed by the State of Alabama. Any person claiming ownership in any of the firearms or currency must file an answer in this action stating sufficient facts to prove ownership of the firearm(s) and/or currency. The answer should be filed under case number CV-2023-901425. The answer must be filed by March 11, 2024, or thereafter a judgment by default may be entered against the property and any of its owners in case number CV-2023-901425, Circuit Court of Montgomery County.
