Job Announcement: Grand Jury Coordinator

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is seeking to fill the role of Grand Jury Coordinator.

The purpose of the job classification is to provide administrative support and coordination of Grand Jury activities in the District Attorney’s Office. The Grand Jury Coordinator is under the general supervision of the Chief Deputy District Attorney. The incumbent, as “Special Officer of the Grand Jury”, supervises the Grand Jury Assistant, Court Reporter, Bailiffs, and Clerical staff in preparing information and documents for Grand Jury hearings and coordinating activities and persons during hearings. The incumbent assists with empanelling Grand Juries of citizens, insuring their training, safety, and comfort. The incumbent assists in obtaining and organizing documents and subpoenaed records for Grand Jury hearings, preparing case files, coordinating with law enforcement agencies, attorneys, witnesses, victims, and the public, scheduling of persons appearing before the Grand Jury, preparing indictments, and “reporting out” of the Grand Jury. The incumbent must use considerable independent judgment gained through specialized experience in Grand Jury coordination.
