The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is seeking to hire prosecutors for the classifications of Deputy District Attorney I to join our highly accomplished, experienced team of dedicated prosecutors. This position is crucial to our mission of protecting our citizens by working to fight and prevent crime, and providing all victims of crime with relevant assistance, support, justice, and peace.
The beginning salary for Deputy DA I is $70,000, plus benefits.
NATURE OF WORK:
The purpose of the job classifications is to provide legal counsel and prosecution for victims and the State of Alabama. The job incumbents report to and consult with the District Attorney or the Chief Deputy District Attorney. The job incumbents are responsible for appearing in court, assembling and collecting case evidence, examining and instructing witnesses, preparing legal documents and consulting with defense attorneys concerning case dispositions.
