Markuise Flynn Convicted of Murder

Montgomery County, Ala. – District Attorney Daryl Bailey announced that Markuise Flynn pleaded guilty this week to murder and shooting into an occupied dwelling.

On May 24, 2015, around 9:23 p.m., Flynn shot into a home located on Malabar Road, killing Sanchez E. Freeman. Evidence gathered at the scene and witness testimony indicated the shooting was in retaliation for an earlier incident involving one of Flynn’s family members.

District Attorney Bailey expressed his gratitude to Deputy District Attorney Justin Jones and DA Investigators J.P. Wilson and John Brown. Additionally, he stated he was very appreciative to Detetctive A.D. Gorum and the Montgomery Police Department for their hard work in the investigation of this case.

Flynn will remain in custody pending his sentencing hearing, which is set for June 19, 2019.

District Attorney Bailey said: “Due to the hard work of our Violent Crime Team, the Montgomery Police Department and the witnesses, we were able to remove another violent offender from our community.”
